In 1997, sisters Michelle and Diane came together with a shared dream—to create a place that honored their family's legacy, their lifelong experiences, and the memories that shaped them.
After the passing of their beloved mother in 1996, they found themselves reflecting on the beautiful apothecary shop she had built and the joy she brought to her customers. Inspired by her passion, wisdom, and dedication, they knew it was time to continue that tradition and begin a new chapter of their own.
From those cherished memories, Mystical Wicks Apothecary was born.
Growing up, Michelle and Diane were surrounded by the beauty of handcrafted apothecary creations, the energy of crystals, and the wonder of spiritual practices. These experiences left a lasting impression on both sisters and sparked a deep appreciation for the healing, comfort, and guidance that such traditions can offer.
Today, they bring their individual gifts, knowledge, and creativity together to create a welcoming space for others to explore. Guided by love, intuition, and the generations of wisdom that came before them, they are honored to share their passion with their community.

MEET MICHELLE MENDEZ
My name is Michelle Mendez, and my journey into the world of crystals, herbs, and energy work began long before I opened the doors to Mystical Wicks Apothecary. Raised in a family deeply connected to herbalism, spiritual practices, and the healing arts, I was fortunate to learn from generations of women who shared their knowledge, wisdom, and respect for nature's gifts.
My mother was both an Energy Crystal Healer and an Herbalist, and from an early age, I was immersed in the traditions she lovingly practiced. At just five years old, I experienced my first connection to the spiritual realm, a moment that opened my eyes to the intuitive gifts I would continue to develop throughout my life. Alongside my younger sister, I was taught how to responsibly nurture these abilities while honoring the values of compassion, integrity, and service to others.
Family stories, ancestral traditions, and a lifelong connection to the spiritual world have all helped shape the path I walk today. These experiences inspired me to create Mystical Wicks Apothecary as a welcoming space where others can explore their own spiritual journeys, discover natural healing tools, and connect with the energies that resonate with them.

Diane Reese is the co-owner of Mystical Wicks Apothecary and the younger sister of Michelle Mendez. While Michelle focuses on spiritual guidance, energy work, candles and herbal traditions, Diane is the heart of the business operations, ensuring that every customer receives the care, attention, and service they deserve.
Like her sister, Diane was raised in a family rich with generations of herbal knowledge, crystal healing traditions, and spiritual practices. From an early age, she learned from her mother and the women who came before her, developing a deep appreciation for the healing power of crystals, herbs, and natural remedies.
As the technology and customer service specialist behind Mystical Wicks Apothecary, Diane oversees many of the day-to-day operations that keep the business running smoothly. From answering customer inquiries and managing online orders to coordinating appointments and ensuring timely shipping, she is dedicated to creating a positive experience for every customer who visits the shop.

"My sister Michelle and I founded Mystical Wicks Apothecary in 1997 in honor of our mother and the traditions she passed down to us. Building this business together has been one of the greatest blessings of my life, and I am grateful every day to share this journey with my sister.
My daughter, Mackenzie, is my inspiration and my world. Everything I do is driven by the hope of making her proud and preserving the family legacy that has been passed down through generations. I remember how proud Michelle and I were of our mother, and we hope to create something meaningful that future generations of our family can continue.
